So I was reading about the new Grizzly Man Diaries which shows never-seen-before footage of Timothy Treadwell, the bear nutcase/expert from Werner Herzog's incredible Grizzly Man. Then I came across this clip that purports to be the actual audio recording that captures the death throes of Treadwell and his girlfriend as they were eaten alive by a bear. It sounds terrifyingly real at first as you hear voices screaming "I'm getting killed out here!" and "Fight back!" interspersed by angry bear growling. But I started to question the authenticity of the tape when I heard someone shout: "Hit it with a frying pan!"
Erm.... hit it with what? A frying pan? It sounds a bit like slapstick comedy. Why don't you tweak it's nose and drop an anvil on it's head while you're at it? Now, an audio recording of this terrible incident does actually exist and in Herzog's documentary it's discussed at length. It came from a video camera recovered near the two bodies by Alaska State Troopers and given to Treadwell's close friend Jewel Palovak. Herzog urged Palovak to destroy the tape, but apparently she did not, lending credence to the possibility of it being leaked onto the internet. However, I don't think this is it. Do you?
My Mum called and told me she had found a box of my belongings that she thought I would want to see. I went home, opened the box and found letters, poems, newspaper cuttings, concert tickets and these pictures that I lovingly drew of my childhood idol Michael Jackson...
My love of MJ started when I was 8 years old and my mum took me to see the Bad tour at Wembley Stadium in 1987. My mum knew the head of security there so we bypassed everyone who'd been camping outside the entrance and got in an hour before the doors opened. Being in the front row ahead of 80,000 people was a pretty big deal for me back then.
I loved MJ a lot. I had posters all over my bedroom and used to
practice his dance moves and everything. One Christmas, I think it was
just after his Dangerous tour, my mum gave me and my brothers an
envelope with a card inside that had numbers and letters on it. My
older brother thought that he'd been given a car and the card was the
license plate number. But no, it was a flight number to go to
When we were there I made my family drive 6.5 hours through
desert so that I could go to Michael's Neverland ranch in Santa
Barbara. When we got there I stood at the gate and wrote Michael a poem
which I posted through the mailbox. My parents actually left
me there for an hour while they went to get lunch. There I was, just
me - leaning longingly against the gates - and the Neverland security guard. I
was sent a cup of tea. I didn't like tea at the time, but it was from
Michael so I drank every last drop.
My brother was channel surfing today and we noticed we had about 10 God Channels, and one of the programmes on had a guy called Trevor Baker who can heal people with the power of Jesus, he was so amazing we ended up watching him for about 2 hours, what made it so entertaining was that along with the whole audience Trevor was unbelievably ugly and he did a weird head shake every 2 minutes and instead of speaking in tongue he spoke like some Rastafarian and kept saying Shaba Baba and made sexy grunting noises.
Anyone know who this artist is, I'm pretty sure they're all by the same artist, I love them, but I haven't got a clue who did them, someone help me. I reckon whoever did the Brain artwork also did this great cover aswell.
